TCPA tools
TCPA tools: what each check does
Outbound teams use several checks to reduce TCPA risk. Each answers a different question, and none alone makes a campaign compliant. Here is what each one does and where TCPA Firewall fits.
Litigator screening
Flags numbers associated with serial TCPA plaintiffs and complaint activity. Answers: is this number a known lawsuit risk?
Carrier lookup
Shows the reported carrier behind the number. Useful for routing, deliverability and spotting suspicious sources.
Line type
Identifies mobile, landline or VoIP so the correct consent standard applies to autodialed and prerecorded calls.
Fake-number and time zone checks
Catches reserved 555 numbers, repeats and sequences, and estimates local time so calls stay within permitted hours.
What these tools do not do
- Prove consent
- Consent records come from your forms and vendors, not from a lookup.
- Guarantee compliance
- Compliance depends on consent, Do Not Call handling, calling hours and your own policies.
- Confirm the current owner
- A lookup does not prove who owns or answers the number today.
How it works
- 01
Upload a CSV, paste numbers or send them through the API.
- 02
Each number is screened against the lists enabled on your account.
- 03
Get carrier, line type, region and an estimated time zone in the same result.
- 04
Review flagged numbers, export clean lists and keep the history as a record.
FAQ
General information, not legal advice. Screening results do not establish consent or legal compliance.
